The first ship of the 10,800-car transport vessel by Guangzhou Shipyard International has commenced construction.

It is understood that this type ofvessel is jointly developed by Guangzhou Shipyard International and Shanghai Shipbuilding Research Institute, specifically designed for the maritime transport of new energy vehicles and energy-saving emission reduction needs, with a maximum vehicle capacity of 10,800 car spaces, and the vehicles loaded can be connected end to end for over 40 kilometers, capable of flexibly loading rolling cargo such as electric vehicles and heavy trucks, with a maximum single piece weight of 250 tons, fully adapting to the diversified needs of global automotive trade.

This ship adopts an LNG/fuel dual-fuel propulsion mode, reserves interfaces for ammonia fuel power and methanol fuel power, and integrates exhaust gas recirculation technology (EGR), meeting the International Maritime Organization's most stringent Tier III emission standards,and has excellent performance in energy saving and emission reduction, reaching an internationally leading level.
Currently, Guangzhou Shipyard International has cumulatively undertaken nearly40orders for car carriers, successfully built and delivered13car carriers, providing91000transport spaces for global automotive trade. Through lean management and technological innovation, Guangzhou Shipyard International has cumulatively delivered ships ahead of schedule by1000days, achieving construction efficiency at an internationally leading level.The commencement of construction of this series of ships will open a new chapter for the high-end, intelligent, and green development of Guangzhou Shipyard International's car carrier construction.
