CCTV News Channel's "Morning News Worldwide" focuses on Blue Run Group's tuna investment venture.
Recently, the tuna processing operations of Shandong Lanrun Group Co., Ltd., an investment enterprise of the holding company, were featured on CCTV News Channel's "Chao Wen Tian Xia," showcasing to people across China how the company is driving local industrial upgrades through the sophisticated deep-processing of tuna—and, in turn, enriching families' dining tables.
Step into this tuna-processing enterprise, where workers are busy filleting and deboning the tuna, transforming it into products like fish-fillet canned goods that are sold in both domestic and international markets. The person in charge told reporters that all these tunas are caught by the company's own distant-water fleet, with an annual output of around 15,000 tons. Compared to direct sales, the value of the processed seafood nearly doubles.
"At first, we mainly caught tuna to sell as raw materials, but now we’ve shifted to producing finished products, which significantly boosts the added value of our offerings. Our next step in development is focused on advanced processing and deepening our product lines," said a company official.
As a company that originally started with offshore fishing operations, transitioning into seafood processing hasn’t been easy. To address this challenge, they’ve specifically upgraded their production lines by introducing mechanized equipment for tasks such as tuna skinning and packaging, while continuously developing new products. Currently, the company has already launched more than 10 diverse tuna-based product lines. Recently, they’ve even leveraged the leftover fish meat from processing to create pet products like cat food, which have received positive feedback from the market.
