The berths at two fishing ports, including Haicheng Fishing Port, have been put into operation and passed acceptance inspection.
Recently, the Provincial Port Office, together with relevant departments, formed a provincial acceptance team to inspect the Haicheng Fishing Port at Shidao Port. Acceptance inspection of preparatory work for the opening of Berth No. 2 at the Port and Chishan Fishing Harbor to external use. 。

The Xinfafa Group and the Chishan Group, both of which have applied to open berths this time, are key local enterprises in Shidao. They own more than 120 distant-water fishing vessels, accounting for 40% of the city’s total fleet of distant-water fishing vessels. In recent years, these companies have steadily deepened their engagement in marine industries, firmly advancing their internationalization strategies in areas such as distant-water fisheries and establishing a complete industrial chain integrating aquatic product capture, refrigeration, and processing. To accelerate the pace of opening up to the outside world, they have implemented underwater surveying and navigation marker deployment, and equipped themselves with oil-containment booms and other pollution-prevention facilities to meet the requirements of maritime supervision operations. Since the temporary opening of two fishing harbor berths to external use in 2023, these berths have cumulatively welcomed over 160 visits by distant-water fishing vessels, bringing back nearly 60,000 tons of aquatic products.
With the two berths now passing acceptance and going into operation, enterprises will undoubtedly leverage the advantages of their open berths to further intensify external cooperation and continuously enhance their influence in modern fisheries. Relevant local stakeholders will also, based on the actual development of the port, keep improving the intelligent construction of various port facilities, elevate management and service standards, and make every effort to ensure the port’s sustained, stable, safe, and efficient operation.
