Xu Ming, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Visits Xinhong Group to Inspect the Dadong Shipbuilding Project
On the morning of April 24, Xu Ming, Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to Xinhong Group to conduct a field inspection of the Dadong Shipbuilding Project. They were accompanied by Wang Xiaojun, Chairman of Xinfafa Holdings; Lu Yonghuan, President of Xinfafa Holdings; Yao Yongke, Chairman of Xinhong Group; and Li Hongcheng, General Manager of Xinhong Group.
Secretary Xu conducted an on-site inspection of the project construction site to assess the development of the marine industry, emphasizing the need to leverage distinctive marine industries as a key driver to ensure the successful implementation and tangible results of priority projects, thereby supporting rural revitalization.
At the project site, Secretary Xu conducted a detailed review of the progress of the “Large-Scale Ship and Offshore Engineering Equipment Repair, Construction, and Conversion Project.” The project is being implemented in three phases with a three-year construction period, primarily focusing on the repair and construction of ships and offshore engineering equipment in such fields as new-energy vessels and advanced materials. Secretary Xu engaged in an in-depth exchange with the project’s principal, seeking information on the project’s planning and construction schedule.
Secretary Xu pointed out that the marine economy is a pillar industry for Rongcheng’s development, and that we must accelerate the construction of key projects to promote the high-end and intelligent transformation of the marine sector. At the same time, we should ground our efforts in rural revitalization, leverage the driving role of industries, boost local employment and economic growth, and ensure that the marine economy becomes a major engine for rural revitalization.
